Sandeep Mehta has an MBA
from the Institute of Management, Development & Research,
Pune, India. He has spent the last nineteen years working
in the information technology field in various capacities.
He has wide industry experience working with clients
in the manufacturing, distribution, health-care, telecommunications,
financial services, banking, insurance and brokerage industries.
Recently, Sandeep has been involved with IT Strategy and
IT Transformation for his clients. He also consults in Application
Portfolio Management, eBusiness, Enterprise Architecture,
Offshore Outsourcing and TCO (total cost of ownership) management,
Business Intelligence and Emerging technologies consulting
for Fortune 500 and mid market corporations. He speaks at
several business and technology forums on the subjects of
eBusiness models, Offshore Outsourcing, Enterprise Application
Integration, Portals, Exchanges and J2EE Application Architecture..
Sandeep Mehta began his career in 1983 as a management trainee
with International Data Management Pvt. Ltd. based in Bombay.
In 1984, he joined Tata Burroughs Limited in the Systems Consulting
Group. Shortly after, he was assigned to a consulting project
at a Burroughs Corporation facility in New Jersey. He spent
a year at Burroughs Corporation implementing a state of the
art ERP system. Subsequent to the successful implementation
of the ERP system, he left Burroughs Corporation to join the
Z Corporation, a California consulting firm. A three year
stint with the Z Corporation followed, most of which was spent
implementing ERP/EDI systems throughout the country. In late
1987, Sandeep branched out on his own and began freelance
consulting. The field of focus was ERP, EDI and Enterprise
Application Integration. In April 1990, Sandeep Mehta and
Steven Pazol, an independent consultant merged their practices
and founded Professional Consulting Services, Inc. ('PCS')

Since then, he has assisted numerous medium and large clients
in the manufacturing, distribution, telecommunications, financial
services, insurance and utility sectors implement complex
systems. Sandeep's clients range in size from Fortune 500
companies such as Ameritech, Caremark, CNA Insurance, GATX
Corporation, Hewlett Packard and Northern Trust to mid-size
organizations such as Lakewood Engineering, Globe Industries,
Accurate Threaded Fasteners and Kent Corporation. Some of
his clients are successful start-ups such as Insurance Vianet
Inc, and Surespeak Inc. Sandeep has world class experience
managing very large projects. He is thoroughly familiar with
all aspects of the systems development life cycle as well
as rapid development methodologies. Under his guidance PCS
has built a very successful consulting practice utilizing
a proprietary development methodology, a proprietary class
library and toolset as well as state of the art estimation
models. PCS unique culture and its leadership have positioned
it as one of a very few firms that consistently deliver complex
and large projects on budget and on schedule.
