PCS was chosen by a market segment leader to introduce a comprehensive distributed management solution into its mature distributed systems environment, and upgrade data center operations to exemplary service levels. Project responsibilities included network monitoring, help desk, second and third level help desk, technical support, backup, disaster recovery preparation, batch job monitoring, Unicenter TNG administration, and daily center operations.  Subsequent to a successful completion of the initial project, data center operations, technical support, and Unicenter TNG responsibilities were outsourced to PCS.  PCS continues to provide 24x7 support for the ES/9000, OS/390, AS/400, RS/6000, and NT server production platforms with additional services provided consisting of network monitoring, data center planning, vendor management, and process and procedure definition.  Service levels have continually improved since the establishment of the outsourcing partnership and the client company has experienced a material reduction in the Total Cost of Ownership of the data center functional business process.
